Merging Blogs

I changed the name on my header and my display name. When I did this it gave me the option to merge my blogs under the new blog name. I told it to go ahead and do it but it didn’t work. So when I tried to create a blog with the name I wanted it’s telling me that the blog already exists. How in the world do I merge them now?

NOTE: Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

That’s the problem – I never deleted the site. This morning when I merged everything hhoustonwriter was supposed to go underneath hbytheseaauthor… and it never worked

Hi there!
We don’t actually merge sites. We do rename them though. There’s a slight bug when you change your username if the matching site has been deleted. I’ve fixed this for you and you should now see hbytheseaauthor.wordpress.com in your sites list:
