Merging old accounts into actual one (or deleting them)

    Dear forum,
    I want to remove the actual e-mail adres linked to my actual account (host is soon to stop activities) and replace this e-mail adres with another one (gmail). This latter address however, once was linked to another account (and site), which are both not used anymore (site is deleted).

    Can I detele the old (gmail-based) account somehow? Or at least replace the actual e-mail adres with this e-mail (merge the accounts)?

    Hi there,

    You can update the old account to a throw a way email so that it frees up the current email for use.

    You can change your account email address from here:

    https://wordpress.com/settings/account/

    Please note that the change will not immediately take effect as you will receive a validation email at the new email address. Make sure to click the link in the validation email to confirm the email address change.
