  How do I insert meta tags into my header.php template file? I can’t find this “header.php template file” on my word press blog. How do I add the meta tags?

  That level of customization is a bit beyond what can be done at WordPress.com.

  We actually do add a few keywords and your author name to the header for you, in case that’s what you were trying to add.

  I heard keywords were not recognized by google. I wanted just a short summary of what my website is about, because it does not come up on any search engines.

  Google will use an excerpt from your most recent post for the description, but you don’t have much content, and that’s what Google looks for.

  Start blogging more regular, and Google will pick you up again.
