Meta widget

The Meta widget keeps appearing in empty sidebars when I haven’t added it. Maybe I am missing something, but from what I can tell, there is no way, outside of editing the code, to remove it. The current arrangement does not reflect this since it looked odd.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Are you talking about the site: theamusiverelationship.com?
Please note that that is a self-hosted site using the WordPress install on WordPress.ORG. You’ve reached support for the free blogs hosted at WordPress.COM. The site you’ve indicated is running a self-hosted/installed version of WordPress (using the free WordPress.org software).
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. You can read more about that here:
WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress at:
Nevertheless, I took a look at the site and could not find a Meta widget. Normally on WordPress.com, you can add an empty Text Widget, but I’m not sure if that would be the case on your site.
Cheers!

It is indeed a self-hosted site. Sorry for the confusion about where to post. I don’t currently have an empty sidebar where one might see the offending widget since it looked ridiculous.

Ah, I see. Try the .org support forums here if you still need help with this! :
