Migrate free website

  I created a free Website in workpress as .wordpress.com and I need to migrate it to the GoDaddy . There is a option to migrate WordPress Site and when I put the URL and it does not take it.

  Hi there,

  A WordPress.com site cannot be migrated in full in that way, as the version of WordPress we use on WordPress.com does not work the same as the one you’ll be using at GoDaddy.

  To migrate your site, go to My Site ->Tools ->Settings and export your content.

  Export Your Website’s Content

  After you install WordPress at GoDaddy you’ll then be able to import that file to your new site there.

  Your theme and settings from the WordPress.com site cannot be exported, so you’ll have to install a theme and set it up from scratch on GoDaddy’s end.
