Migrating from .com to .org

i would like to transfer my blog from wordpress.com to .org using my android tablet but cant seem to find the tools bar needed to export my files. Am i really to use a desktop or laptop in order to do so? Also, would it be alright if i just delete my wordpress.com site and start anew with wordpress org , then reposting my blogs and using my wordpress.com name ( name of my blog) ? Thank you

@slicingthrough have you tried using a browser on your tablet? I would think that’s likely your best option with a tablet. Also, can you let us know why you’re going? Maybe there’s something we can help with. Have you already started your new installation?

i think i just fixed my “tablet” issues, thanks. I’m migrating to .org mainly due to some advice coming from my peers. They say its where i should be if i want to be really serious about blogging.

@slicingthrough Alright, I’d tend to disagree with them there, since WordPress.com’s community aspects can help you build readership. I’m glad you were able to sort this issue out though, whatever you decide to do!
