Migrating Users
-
I am attempting to migrate my subscribers via jetpack from my WordPress.com blog to my independently-hosted blog. I have everything in place, I go to my blogs> jetpack manage> but when I click migrate, nothing happens. No pop-up, nothing. I am a little upset because I did everything right and had an IT specialist assist me 100% on this, and still I was unable to make this happen.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can help you with that.
Just so we’re on the same page, what is the URL for your old WordPress.com site and the URL for your new self-hosted site?
-
the URL for my old site is http://crotchetyoldgamer.wordpress.com and the new URL is currently just a darn IP address… http://67.20.66.238/ Thank you very much for your support! I appreciate it! And sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I have had a lot going on these days.

So you really need to have your jetpack site connected at it’s permanent URL before we migrate subscribers. Otherwise your subscribers can end up at the old connected site and not at the correct one once you reconnect at the permanent URL.

Ah, ok. Then I have to wait. I tried to transfer the domain and it said I needed to wait seven days. Thank you. Had no idea I’d gotten the cart before the horse.
