Migrating website from an old host to a new host

  Hello, I really, really need help regarding my website for which the hosting expired today. I took a backup which was in .gz format, but I don’t seem to know how to upload the same. I did upload it but can’t get my site back up.

  Please let me know wats the right procedure for it

  Was the expired website a WordPress.com site?
