  I need to migrate this blog over to a godaddy domain and have to wordpress.com redirect this domain to the new one

  Correct account: Yes

  Happy to help you with this.

  To export the content you would need to follow these instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ (Tools > Export)

  The content could then be imported at the new installation via WP Admin > Tools > Import.

  To redirect the site, this can be done as per: https://wordpress.com/support/site-redirect/
