Migration: Large xml file
-
Hello, I am currently at a process of migrating my blog, from blogger to wordpress.
I’ve read lots of tutorials and I figured out most of things.
The problem I’ve faced is that the xml exported from blogger is 208 MB.
The uploading process took a while but it completed ‘successfully’. However, nothing is imported and as much as I’ve read nothing will, because the servers will timeout eventually. Is there an easy way to split (maybe) the xml files to smaller ones and mass upload them one by one?
I’ve came across a plugin that says it does that, but it’s for wordpress.org, which I see that is a self-hosting version. Is there a way to come around this or the solution is to find a good server to host my wordpress so that I can manage the limitations?

Hi @bigeyegeorge, that’s a big export! If it didn’t work for you on your side, we can try from ours. Can you upload the file to dropbox or cloudup or a similar service? I’ll email so you can send the link privately.
