Missing blog post
-
I wrote a blog post earlier this evening via my mobile phone. On completion, I selected to publish it. The bar at the top of my phone said it was uploading and after some time, an error message stated something had failed. Now the entire post is nowhere to be found. Any ideas what had happened?????
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Bit disappointing considering this was my very first post using wordpress. I thought a copy was automatically saved throughout? It’s not in my drafts, trash or blog posts

Hi there,
Did you use the mobile app? iOS or Android?
Drafts created using the mobile app do not automatically save to our servers as you work the way a draft created in a browser does. The mobile app only saves a draft to our servers when you specifically tell it to or when you close the app. Otherwise the draft is saved locally on your device.
What is the title of the post in question? Can you still access it via the app?
-
I can’t find it anywhere. Not in my published folder, drafts or trash. It’s like there is no trace. So is it somewhere on my phone? It was titled ‘goodbye gummy smiles…’
(there is a bkank draft with this title currently, but that isn’t it) -
It should be saved in the app on your phone. If it’s not in the app either, then it somehow got lost between your device and our servers, in which case there’s no way to get it back. That shouldn’t happen, though, so I want to ask that you submit a support ticket via the Help link in the app itself. That will allow you to send us logs from the app on your phone which might help us figure out why this happened.

Joy. My first blog post and its gone…
I’m new to the site so if you could be more specific in the process to raise a support ticket, I’d be grateful.

In the mobile app, click the profile icon/Me-tab. Then click on Help & Support. You’ll have the option there to submit a support request, and also to get the logs from the app and send them to our mobile support team.
