Missing comments box

Hi there
I can’t make a comment box appear at the bottom of my posts (or pages), even though I am sure I have checked all the right the discussion boxes. I’ve read all the support documentation on comments, and it says that a comments form should automatically appear – but it just doesn’t. I am using the Ari theme, and all that appears for comments is your standard ‘leave a comment’ prompt in tiny text, after the tags and categories displayed at the bottom of the post. I want a comment box to appear much more prominently, as a third option along with the ‘share’ and ‘like’ options, and I thought this was the wordpress default. Is there any way I can fix this?
