Missing Featured Images & Other Images

  So I was reviewing some older posts and realized that some of my Featured Images are missing as well as other images that are withing the blog. Does anyone have an explanation about this? Or advice on how to prevent this from happening?

  The most likely cause would be that you deleted the missing images from the media library.
