Missing header

  Hi, a few hours ago I’d almost completed my site… but then I was prompted to install a parent theme to my blog times theme (it said I would encounter problems as their was important linked data held in this theme). I installed in(but did not activate it, only to find that I had immediately lost my site banner (and all its navigational capabilities), the theme social media icons at the base of each page, along with a few other minor editing changes.

  I have since tried reverting back to the default theme (still no header seen), the parent theme, then back to the preferred Blog Times Theme—still no header is in place

  I’ve also tried re-selecting my header in the customisation area. Didn’t work.

  I’ve tried making a temporary one via templates- that hasn’t worked either!

  I do not know what else to try, can you advise my please?
