Missing Photo's
-
I’ve just logged on for the first time in a couple of months and heaps of my photo’s have disappeared, being replaced by words saying that the image may contain things that were actually in the photo’s. What’s with that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, please link to a post or page on your WordPress.com site where you see this happening. That will help us to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks for adding that information. So it looks like you are hotlinking those images from facebook rather than files uploaded to your own WordPress.com site. If I try to view those images at their source I get an error
URL signature expired
What you’re seeing “image may contain:tree and outdoor” is the alternate text of the removed image which describes the image when the image can’t load or when someone who uses a screen reader views it in their browser. https://wordpress.com/support/images/image-settings/
If you don’t own that FB post site where you are pulling those images in from, and the image is removed or unavailable, that is what displays. If you own that FB post and it is Public, then you’ll need to troubleshoot it with FB. The other option, of course is to upload it to your own WPcom site if you own the rights to it.
