Missing Photos

I was just reviewing my personal wordpress blog and found that many of the photos were missing. Can you help me resolve this issue?

Hi Wendy,
Have you recently deleted any images in your Media > Library page? If images are deleted from there, the posts they were attached to will no longer have the image on your site.
In addition, if you took a couple images from an outside URL, if the person behind that site takes down the image, that would also mean your image would be taken down as well.
If that’s not the case for you, can please show me which posts have missing images? I looked at the first couple posts and did not find any missing images. If you could provide me a couple example links, I’d be happy to take a further look.

Thanks for your response. I have not deleted any images, possibly ever, and all the images are exclusively my uploads, except for one maybe.
I am looking for a pattern. I think I may be seeing this occur with posts earlier than 2012?? Not sure yet but here is a link to one page with missing images.

Hi Wendy,
It looks like you were using Ping.fm to upload images? You can see that here:
I did a quick search and found that Ping.fm was shut down in July 5th, 2012. This means that any images uploaded with Ping.fm will no longer work.
If you look at your recent images, it was uploaded via your Media > Library as seen here:
I’m sorry, but unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to retrieve those images from Ping.fm for you. For future reference, please continue to upload images to your Media > Library page.
