At Appearance -> Custom Design, you seem to have some CSS rules set which apply to a different theme.
You can either adjust the conflicting bits for remove them completely from that section.
-
I don’t know what any of that does.
We use the WordPress blog hosted by wordpress.
The theme was selected from those offered through
WordPress. We didn’t edit anything to start the blog.Everything worked fine until we upgraded to the
version that doesn’t show ads. After that, the theme
got altered and none of the background images display now.I tried to select a different theme and then, switch
back to the INove theme we are using but the theme
was still displaying incorrectly. We wish we had never upgraded now…before we started
paying we were fine. Ironic, isn’t it. -
Ok, I have cleared out the custom CSS rules that were set.
You should now be able to control the background via Appearance -> Background.
-
Perfect! It reverted back to the initial theme layout.
I wish I knew how those custom CSS got in there. How would I go about backing up that CSS?
Is it an external CSS file or embedded on the page? -
At the CSS editor, all of your saves are preserved as revisions near the bottom-right of the page, but I suppose you could also keep your own backups by copying and pasting to a text file on your computer.
