missing wordpress account and site construction progress

    Hello.
    I had an account last year under this username. It was somehow linked to my ex-partners account, I can’t remember how currently since I put this project to rest for over a year but I thought I had been paying for my wordpress account. Now I tried to log in to start work on my dormant site (my domain is registered with namecheap) and it said my account does not exist. So all my progress has now seemed to be lost. Can you help?

    We can’t help directly because we don’t host estarasun.one on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

    Instead your host (Namecheap) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom login system on WordPress.com (for enhanced security) that also helps prevent this kind of lockout from occurring. Because of this our procedures for regaining account access do not work on sites hosted with other providers.

    The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through Namecheap, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org support article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    You can ask Namecheap support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
