Mistake on signing up with wordpress.com ?

Hello,
I believe I made a mistake of signing up with wordpress.com. I was wanting to sign up with affiliates, and also use some widgets like rafflecopter, to do reviews and giveaways (Now I understand that I can’t do this). Also I was looking into selling homemade items, or at least link it up to etsy down the road. From what I have read, I can’t do any of this :(Would my best option be to move to wordpress.org or blogger w/ and a self host? I’m not sure what to do. Please explain in easy terms with me, I’m new at this :) Thank you.

That’s right, you can’t do any of that here. I don’t know if it will all work with Blogger. I do know it will all work with software from WordPress.org and paid hosting. Just find a competent, reputable web host that deals with WordPress and away you go. Support for that is at http://wordpress.org/support

While I agree with Raincoaster – you would do better to have a self-hosted blog, you can actually link to your own Etsy store on a WordPress.com blog, providing what you’re selling on Etsy are your own creations.
