we have wix.com website but just found out it does not work with smart phones except iphone 6 and higher. What about wordpress?

At WordPress.com as long as you ensure you activate one of the free or Premium themes that support a responsive layout (which I would think includes most of the current themes these days) you are good to go. https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/responsive-layout
