Our church website was set up by a friend who has now gone to the states… sadly I asked him for help and I dont think he knew where to start!
So I thought its about time I learnt how to make sure this website is up to date:)
Last week I saw a seminar for how to make sure your wordpress website was safe and up to date… it was a reputable webinar!!!So I downloaded wordfence but Im not sure if I applied it…
Then he spoke about updating themes, plug ins, and updates which I did…
Then the site went into maintenance mode…
Then I got this disturbing message

Now I cant even get into the back end of wordpress!!! No access no website…
Help!!!
Sadly at the end of the talk he emphasised the importance of backing up your website… I wish he said that first

Hi there, just adding that you can also contact your web hosting provider for assistance with this issue. They may be able to help you restore your WordPress site to an earlier version. Best wishes!
