Monetizing blog in Latvia

    Hello,

    I’m aware that there is some limit of readers per month that blog must reach before it can be monetized by using WordAds. In some internet sources I’ve seen 10 – 15k. However as I’m writing in Latvian for Latvians, overall market is much smaller than English speaking population, so I’d like to clarify this number with you – my site, if this helps, is https://digitalaklade.wordpress.com/. I know that at the moment I’ve no significant amount of readers what so ever, since I’m just testing themes and concept as such.
    Still would like to get answer to this, to get a goalpost of a kind. :)

    Here’s a bit of information to help you grow your audience and gain some momentum with a community of followers.

    Be sure to use tags on your posts because folks with similar interests will find your content through our Reader. Organic traffic and connection will be your best friend as the site grows.

    In order to use WordAds you will also need a custom domain. I wouldn’t worry about registering one quite yet. Just continue growing with your free site.

    Another note is that WordAds is most successful for folks that have mostly a North American audience. So, it might not be the best option for you. With our business plan, though, you can run your own ads or manage them with another plugin — There might be another network that would do better for your Latvian audience specifically.

    Yes, that was my plan – to slowly work on blog and it’s content, and figure our monetization when I get to something more serious. :) Just was curious and tried to peak ahead a bit.
    Also thanks for heads up regarding continents – will try to learn what works in my country. :)
