monetizing site with google adsense

Hi,
I am trying out using wordpress and I would like to know how I could add google adsense in my website. I’m currently using free plan and I intend to upgrade to paid plans if I would know how to add google adsense code on my website. I have seen tutorials on youtube on how to…but the interface of what is shown in the video is different from my own with wordpress, is the interface different from paid and free plans? is there a possibility to add adsense on my website, can I try it because if not I will not purchase a plan.

It’s different for WordPress.com (our service) and individual, self-maintained installations of WordPress.org on other servers. This page outlines some of the differences:
