Money refund scam

Hello, your recent actions (ea signing my account to paid plan without my consent) that withheld money from my account and after me manually cancelling the paid plan I never signed on in the first place (I wonder how many people missed this and you got to profit from it) I discovered that I wasn’t refunded the full price. This ‘marketing action’ is in extremely poor taste and looks like a scam from a cheap company. I would like to have my money refunded entirely, including bank associated taxes – 0.85 EUR currency conversion cost.

  • Hi there,

No one signed your account to a paid plan without your consent. You had a personal plan on your site which you bought on 27 December 2016, along with a domain mapping upgrade for the domain, lindalagzdina.com. Only you, or someone with access to both your WordPress.com account and your credit card could have done this, as we can’t charge you for anything unless you provide us with payment information.

You had the ability to cancel those upgrades or to enable automatic renewal at any time.

You can see a copy of the receipt we sent you when you made that purchase here:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/21477696

When you bought that upgrade you also agreed to our renewal terms (also mentioned in the WordPress.com Terms of Service) that state all upgrades renew annually.

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/auto-renewal/

Your plan renewed again on 27 November 2017 (receipt at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/26457687). On 20 December 2017 you contacted us via live chat support and requested we remove the domain mapping upgrade, but you did not request to cancel the plan, even though the support agent specifically mentioned that the plan was still on your account. You would have been sent a transcript of that chat via email immediately after the chat ended.

The plan renewed again on 27 November 2018 (receipt at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/33033957)

Prior to each renewal we sent you several reminder emails, and the receipt was emailed to you after payment was completed.

You cancelled your personal plan on 27 November a few hours after the last renewal payment went through, and we automatically issued a refund for the full $48 cost of the renewal. You can see the receipt for that payment here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/33043971

You should receive the full refund in about 10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing times.

However, we are unable to refund any service charges, like currency conversion charges, levied by your financial institution.
