  How do I change the number of blogs that stay shown on my main screen of my homepage?

  Great question! My suggestion would be to take a look at the different themes in our showcase and find one that displays the posts in a format and layout that you like. Those are at https://wordpress.com/themes/

  Changing the theme will not result in any content loss (posts or pages).

  Then, you can use the theme options or this shortcode to customize the posts.
