Move domain to WordPress

  I currently have a domain with 1&1. If I purchase a premium account with WordPress is it possible to completely transfer it over to WordPress? I know I can map it, but I would like to transfer it to WordPress and not deal with 1&1 any longer. Thank you

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, we can’t accept incoming domain transfers, so you won’t be able to transfer your domain directly here to WordPress.com. Pointing the nameservers over to WordPress.com and mapping the domain is currently the best way to use your domain from 1&1.
