move from wix to wordpress

  Hi, i am moving my site from wix to wordpress but would like it to look and operate exactly like it presently does. http://www.saintcocco.com
  Including the roll over effect and the simplicity of font and menu. Everything.
  Can this be achieved on wordpress and which free theme can i use?

  Hi there, I don’t see anything unusual on your site that can’t be done here at WordPress.com. The image effect can be produced with an opacity on hover.

  You may want to look over http://learn.wordpress.com to see how things generally work here.

  As far as themes, you may want to have a look through these. I did a sort on our Theme Showcase for free, minimal, responsive, one-column themes.

  Sorry, I’m just now having my morning coffee. I should also mention that the image effect will require some custom CSS, which would require the WordPress.com Premium Plan or WordPress.com Business plan upgrade.

  I didn’t. I couldn’t find a theme that looked and had the functionality that my present wix site had.

  @giorgosgeorgopoulos, we do not have a wix importer, so you would need to copy/paste your content from your wix site into a site here at WordPress.com. There is a button on the lower toolbar (#6) in the WordPress post and page editor for pasting as plain text, which is what you will want to use. It is a toggle, so you would click it, paste in your content for that page or post, and then click it again to exit the paste as plain text function. The reason we have to do that is to take out all the wix HTML formatting as it could cause issues here. You can then reformat your content in our editor as needed.
