What is the benefit of moving my domain to WordPress.com? What is the price for renewal? What is the number to talk to a live person? I would like to pay to do what I have to do but there is too much going on, on the pages. my domain name is set you guys are offering other names as if I have to take them too.

I am just trying to save some money by creating my own website and design. Someone recommended you but this is not what I came for. I am almost set, I just need my website and design, my business cards (if you have those) and a host that I can connect to. I think I can purchase once it is created. Is this true?

The benefit is that you can manage your site and domain in the same place, rather than having to pay us for a plan, and someone else for your domain. In other words, it’s more convenient.

What is the number to talk to a live person?
There is no phone support, so there is no number. For users with free sites, or no sites in your case, support is provided in this forum. Users with paid plans have access to direct email and live chat support.

I’m not sure what you mean here. If you’re speaking of the domain search screen, it works exactly the same as at any registrar – you enter a search term or a full domain, and we show you the closest domains to the one you want that are available.
If you already have a domain you don’t search for a new one on that page, but instead click the option to use a domain you already own, which will take you to the option to either map the domain to us, or transfer it.
