Move my new blog account to WordPress.org

  I will have a self hosted blog but was confused when I registered my blog name with WordPress.com. There is nothing in my blog yet. I’m using Media Temple & I can’t access my blog meta files with the 1 click app. I just need to transfer my wordpress.com account to a wordpress.org account. I want the same user name in WordPress.org. Is this possible?
