Move to my host, stats issue

  Hi all,

  I am moving my blog from WordPress.com to a new host server, I have two questions:

  1. how can I keep my blog stats and move them along with my posts? or should I keep them in the first place?
  2. how would this move affect the Search Engines Optimization for my blog, along with the ranking of my posts in google search? and how can I keep my rankings to my new server? I don’t want to lose with this move the rankings I earned in my wordpress blog.

  I really appreciate any help to this regard

  1. You can’t. I believe Sitemeter lets you specify a number to start with but wp stats will go back to zero. (You’ll need the wp-stats plug in to see the familiar stats page)

  2. Google will treat it as a new blog and your page rank will go back to zero for anywhere from several weeks to a couple months. This is unavoidable.
