Moved from .com site to wordpress.org domain. What to do with the old blog?

Hi,
I have bought a domain with hosting and installed wordpress.org on it. Then I exported the blog to a xml file and imported it on my own domain. I also got all the images over. Everything is working perfect with comments and all.My question is.. What do I do with the old blog? I cant have two identical sites on the net. Google doesn’t like that.
Of course I can just delete the whole thing, but I wonder if there’s a better solution. Lots of other pages and forums link to my “old” wordpress.com site.
What about redirecting links to my new domain somehow? Or edit all the posts and say that the content has been moved to new url?Whats normal to do?
