moved site to new folder, can't access it
-
I moved my site from a folder to root. I forgot to go into WP settings and change the path. Tried to access it, blank page. Same with the admin page. I quick copied the files back to where they originally were. Tried to access the old address, still same blank page for root and admin. I Googled this, and saw you can edit the database and change the siteurl and home. I changed both to point to root. Tried site and admin panel, both blank.
Bedore I did anything I ran Updraft, so I have a full backup. My question is, I get why when I moved the the site wasn’t accessible. But when I moved them back to the original folder with nothing changed why am I still getting a blank page? And even after editing the 2 wp_options fields to reflect the new location, still no dice. I’m not very well versed in WP, so I’d like to get a better understand of how this works before I go wipe, install and restore my site.
Is there anything else I can do here? I now have my site in the original folder and edited the wp_options to show this as the location and home.
