Moving content from one page to another
-
Hello! I’m new to all this…. I started a blog ages ago and have just resurrected it. It’s a combination of diary and recipes. I have a separate page for recipes, but some of the ones I’ve posted have ended up on the Home page, which isn’t where I want them to be. Can I move those posts easily from one page to another, or do I have to delete the post in the Home page and do it again on the recipe page? I’m at kenandkath.wordpress.com so you can see what I mean. The Hot Cross Bun recipe is on the Home page and I want it on the recipe page where, somehow, I’ve managed to get a separate page per recipe, which is great (can’t remember how I did it).
Is there a Dummies Guide?
Thanks in anticipation. -
Good Morning –
Can I move those posts easily from one page to another
Yes, you can select individual posts to display on specific pages. Use this code:
https://wordpress.com/support/display-posts-shortcode/All of your “recipe” posts can display on the recipe page with that option.
Write back to me if you need more help setting that up.

Hello Liz – I’ve had a look and I really haven’t a clue what I’m supposed to do… I’d appreciate a bit more help if you don’t mind!

Hi there,
If you want to have all your recipes posts under a single page, then you need to use categories. Here’s how to do that:

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
