Hi there,
I ‘ve just shifted from http://www.tworandomwords.wordpress.com to http://www.tworandomwordsblog.com and want to move my followers to the new domain, if possible.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Definitely! We just added a new tool so that you can do this yourself! Just hook your site up to your WordPress.com account via Jetpack. Then visit your blogs on WordPress.com:
http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/
Under your Jetpack linked site select Manage. Then just choose the site you want to transfer your followers from!
Let me know if you have any trouble with that. :)

Hi, I got to the “manage” part but my wordpress.com blog isn’t coming up as an option (ie there’s no blogs in the drop box after “select WordPress.com Blog”). Do I have to link them somehow first?

I’m sorry about that! This bug was recently reported to our team. I can do the transfer for you in the meantime. Can you confirm the site you want to move your followers from?

I’m moving from http://www.tworandomwords.wordpress.com to http://www.tworandomwordsblog.com and am I right in thinking you can’t move people who follow via wordpress.com/they can no longer follow that way?
Thanks Shawna!

Hi there!
I have moved over all your WordPress.com subscribers as requested.
am I right in thinking you can’t move people who follow via wordpress.com/they can no longer follow that way?
While your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site.
Happy blogging!
