Moving from self-hosted to WordPress
-
I currently have 2 WordPress sites that I run. One is for stamp collecting and the other is for my son’s Boy Scout troop. Each has their own domain name:
Can you tell me which hosting plan I should use and how much it would cost a month?
Do offer email services?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
To continue using those domains you’d need at least the personal plan for each site. Personal costs US$48 a year – all upgrades are billed yearly, in advance – and if you also transfer the domains to us it will be an additional $18 a year (at our current pricing), for the annual domain renewal – the transfer itself is free with the plan for one domain per plan.
I see you’re using a lightbox plugin on the stamp site and several plugins as well as a custom theme on the scounts site. To use those same plugins and theme on WordPress.com would require our Business Plan for each site at $300 a year. But depending on exactly what you want to be able to do you might be able to get by with our built-in features without those plugins, and we have over 90 free themes you can choose from if you’re willing to switch themes.
You can find details on what’s included in each of our plans here:

And you can find a detailed guide on migrating your site to WordPress.com here:

Thanks for replying.
Sadly, that is WAY out of my price range. These sites are a labor of love. I make no money off of them.
Do yo offer non-profit discounts? I’d love to at least move the Boy Scout site over.

Today I see this at the top of this support forum page:
New Year Sale! Get 20% off when you upgrade your WordPress.com plan today!
Perhaps you could upgrade your empty https://plazman30.wordpress.com/ and then map/transfer a custom domain to it in due course.
