Moving my domain name from Go Daddy to WordPress

    I want to have a WordPress website (I’ve had a free one with Go Daddy for a while), but I want to keep the Domain Name I have on my current site for the new WordPress site. I need to keep the old site up until I am ready to go live with the new site. What domain name should I use to set up the WordPress site until it’s ready to switch to the real domain?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    If the domain will need to be used by viewers until you point your custom domain over, you can just create the same name for the WordPress.com URL to match the custom domain you eventually want to use.

    So, if your custom domain is example.com, you can just make the WordPress.com URL example.wordpress.com. But really, the URL can be anything you want because it will eventually be masked by the custom domain.
