moving my domain www.jackronaldcotner.com from Wix to WordPress

i want to bring my domain name from Wix to WordPress. how do i do that? Have read through the instructions given here at WordPress but am totally confused.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Wix has given me a transfer code to use at WordPress but I can find no explanation of where or how on WordPress to use it.

We don’t accept incoming domain transfers. In order to use your domain with us, you’ll need to transfer it to a different registrar and then change your name servers to the following:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

shawnajroberts, thank you for your reply. I’m totally confused about not accepting domain transfers as the information at WordPress seemed to indicate that you do. Be that as it may, how would I use the information you so kindly provided? For instance, how do I transfer to a different registrar and where do I change my name servers to reflect the information you provided. thanks.

Wix doesn’t allow you to change your name servers, so you’ll need to transfer the domain to a new registrar. You can use almost any registrar you’d like, a few popular ones are Network Solutions and Hover.
Once you’ve done that, you can change your name servers. How you do this will vary by registrar, but if you’re having trouble doing that let me know and I can try to point you in the right direction.

Your clarification on new registrar requirements and the two examples you gave are informative.
This is now, however and evidently, a mute issue for me since my window to transfer (or at least rescue) my domain name from Wix to WordPress has expired. As a consequence, I cancelled my WordPress Premium upgrade package and will maintain my basic WordPress site.
As for needed clarification on your support sites: I read all the documentation on your support site that references domain changes and transfers.
For example, at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ link: the instructions listed seem contradictory and confusing to a computer novice like me but that’s my problem for not speaking or understanding the computer language your speak in your world.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ll take a look at our domain documentation and try to clarify. Domains are pretty complicated, so its difficult to be accurate while avoiding jargon, but we definitely want to make sure it’s communicating accurate information.
