Moving my free wordpress blog to self hosting

  i had free wordpress blog and then i purchased a custom domain from wordpress itself.
  Now, i m planning to self host my blog and i have some questions:-
  *Will my blogs, stats(views), and comments be retained after shifting to another host?
  *Will i be able to use my custom domain purchased from wordpress?
  *How to change the dns settings after importing?
  Please help!

  Hi Gaurav!

  You’ll need to move your blogs yourself. Here’s a quick guide on moving your content:

  If you’d like assistance moving your WordPress.com site to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you. Check it out to see if it’s right for you:

  Once you’ve connected your new self-hosted sites to your WordPress.com account through the Jetpack plugin, you can transfer your subscribers following these steps:

  And you can contact staff through the contact form about transferring your stats over to the new site.

  I’m grouping these together because you’ll be able to use your custom domain by changing the DNS information. You can either change your name servers or update your A records. If you change your name servers, any other DNS edits will need to be done through your new host. But if you change your A records you can edit your other DNS entries through your WordPress.com account.

  Hi,
  Thanks for your help. i have moved my blog myself. But i am still not able see my blog views yet. I have downloaded jetpack plugin but this also dint helped. Please tell me some way by which i can move blog’s views?
