Moving my Website (own domain) to WordPress (.wordpress)

  Hi all,

  I have had a website for 8 years and as I have stopped travelling I do not want to continue with the domain or pay for hosting. I do however want to move it back over to WordPress.com. I don’t mind it still being online as it may help someone on their solo travels.

  Happy to help you with this.

  You can export the site content via WP-Admin and import it here at WordPress.com as per: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ on a fresh installation.

  If there’s plugins running on the site and you’d like to keep these, you would need a business plan on WordPress.com and the site can be migrated as per these instructions: https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
