Moving subscribers from a WordPress.com blog to a WordPress.org blog

    Hi!
I may want to move my current blog https://thedreambookblog.wordpress.com to a self-hosted WordPress.org site but I don’t want to lose my 350 subscribers. the FAQ mentioned that I can contact WordPress.com and ask you to do it. What information would I need to give you for that to happen?

    Thank you!

OK, I clicked on a “contact us” link in a WordPress.com FAQ and I had no idea I was posting to a forum and not contacting customer service. It wasn’t clear at all!!!!

My question is NOT related to my website tammayauthor.com. It’s related to my WordPress.com blog (URL is in the post and my signature).

Wordpress needs to make it clear that “contact us” in FAQs does not mean a message to customer service but a forum :-(.

  • Hi Tam –

Yes, we can help you with this.

Is this the new, self hosted blog? tammayauthor.com ?

If not, I’ll need the URL in order to make the transfer. You’re also going to need to have the Jetpack plugin installed on the new site.
