Moving the "Save Draft" button?

  • Unknown's avatar

I am using the Visual Editor and as a blog post the Save Draft button get further and further away. Yes, Home and End can help take a bit less time to force save my drafts as I write, but having the Save Draft button next to the Add Media button that stays in view no matter how long a post gets seems like a NO Brain-er!

Is there a way to get it to show up there? (too?) Or even be able to use Ctrl-S.

I see a lot of posts on this subject, but no answers for such a basic need!

    Thanks, Bill C

  • Hi there,

I do not see any sites under your @bigbillsd WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Jerry, I host it on my own server. Are you saying that button should be next to the Media button and stay visable like the media button does during all editing? -Bill

The save draft button would stay at the top to the right.

You should be able to save change via the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + s

Also to note, as the site is not hosted with WordPress.com, our support is very limited and would recommend using the WordPress.org forums https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ for assistance.
