Moving to Strato

  Hey guys,

  I’m trying to move my site from wordpress.com to strato (a Dutch host). I got this message from them:

  It’s impossible to move at this point because:

  – Your provider has anonymized the AdminC data

  Since wordpress.com does not answer my questions is there anyone that knows a solution to this problem?

  Hi Niels,

  I’m trying to move my site from wordpress.com to strato (a Dutch host).

  Do you want to move lifelonglearningnederland.wordpress.com to a self-hosted WordPress.org site? In case you haven’t already seen it, we have step by step instructions for doing so, in this guide:

  Which of these steps is showing you an error?

  Since wordpress.com does not answer my questions

  I can see you sent two emails and our Happiness Engineers replied to both. Did you receive our replies? They were sent to the email address on your Account Settings page.

  Hi Gemma,

  Thank you for your answer.

  Yes, I do want to move the site to a new host.

  – The new host is strato.nl

  – I got a move or transfer code from wordpress.com and I gave this to Strato.nl

  – Strato states that this code is not is enough since this involves a “.com” website which should have an extra code to move between hosts.

  – They also say: “Your provider has anonymized the AdminC data”
  What can you do to solve this?

  In my opinion, the problem is solved once wordpress.com fully releases lifelonglearningnederland.com in order for strato.nl to use it as their domain.

  Thanks for sending me more information.

  It doesn’t sound like you are using the correct transfer code as the process hasn’t been initiated yet. Please work through these steps in order to transfer lifelonglearningnederland.com to Strato:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

  As you can see, you will need to start the process by selecting the ‘Draag ze over aan een andere registrar’ option on this page:

  https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/lifelonglearningnederland.com/edit/lifelonglearningnederland.com

  Could you als include a reply to: (email visible only to moderators and staff) ?

  I’m unable to reply to additional email addresses on these forums I’m afraid — replies here can only be sent to the email address on your Account Settings page.

  Let me know when you have provided Strato with the new transfer code and I’ll double check everything looks okay from our side.
