  Hello,

  I purchased the domain maxverstrepen.com on a misunderstanding thinking wordpress.com had the same options wordpress.org has. I would want to cancel that purchase or, if possible, instructions on how to transfer my domain to wordpress.org as I really want to be able to upload my own themes and plugins.

  I would encourage you NOT to cancel your domain. Cancellation will, at best, cause a delay in using your chosen domain, and at worst, can cause you to lose control of your domain completely.

  Instead, I suggest using these instructions to point your domain to your new webhost:

  Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  Once 60 days have passed from the initial date of registration, you can transfer your domain registration to another registrar (such as godaddy or 1and1) if you wish:
