Moving WordPress.org Site to WordPress.com

Hi there,
I am new to wordpress. I have an existing website that is currently through wordpress.org. I want to move it to wordpress.com so that i can easily make updates and changes. Can anyone walk me through how to do this? -

You have two options:
On our Business Plan you can migrate your entire site, theme, plugins and all. To do that, first install the Jetpack plugin on your site and connect it to WordPress.com. Then go to My Site ->Tools ->Import and follow the steps there.
Or if you just want to migrate your content, go to WP-Admin ->Tools ->Export on your site to get a WordPress export file. Then you upload that on the Import screen on our end.

If you also want to move your domain to us, that will require a paid plan regardless of the import option you choose. Only do that after you’ve migrated your site content, though. You can find our domain transfer process here:
