Msn API won’t work

    For those of you who don’t know what it is, please check it out:

    I found out about it and I was delighted to try it out on my blog. Sadly when I entered the code into the text widget (and even my own page, go figure), it would not save the code. I assume it’s because Iframe tags aren’t permitted but I’m wondering if there’s a way around this.

    And if there isn’t, could it be permitted in the future? (if not, why).

    iFrames are not permitted, nor is Javascript or Flash. I don’t think there’s a way around this at the moment.

    The reason for the restrictions is that here we share the backbone of our blogs and one vulnerability introduced by a single person would affect everyone using that theme. You do NOT want to be exposed to the risks the dumbest person using your theme would accept! So WP.com has put restrictions on what we can use.

    Often, widgets will supply HTML-only code that doesn’t include the proscribed code (buzzfeed.com is one) so you can look around for that.
