Multiple images on header

  I would like to have more than one image on my header. Right now, it appears the only custom option is to upload one image that it relatively very long but not very high. I would like to be able to have such a “landscape” type background on the header but then a “portrait” sized additional image on top of it. Can this be done or do you have to create the combined image on Photoshop or equivalent?
