MX Record

  My email provider is Fasthost. They gave me the MX record of 213.171.216.114. When I input this into the DNS box, it is not accepted. I have phoned Fasthost again about this and they said that you would translate this or be able to advise me where to put this number so that our emails work again as they do not at the moment.

  Yes, that’s not correct for an MX Record.

  An MX record needs to be in the form of:

  MX <pref> <host>.

  Like the examples in the screenshot at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/custom-dns/
