My blog is gone! I had a blog on here for 2 years & my hosting/domain expired at the end of last month &I just renewed it. I was injured & had a new edition to the family. Godaddy deleted everything after 30 days. I’m 6 days late. I made several backups on WordPress but not to my computer for some stupid reason. Is it possible to retrieve my blog or did I just lose hundreds of hours of work? http://duggermmj.com was my website.

It looks like duggermmj.com was a self hosted WordPress.org site. Which means that your content was not stored here on WordPress.com. Here’s a little bit about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
Unfortunately, since your site was not hosted here we can not restore your content for you. If you used a backup service like VaultPress, you can probably get your content through them.

I used whatever backup was in my dashboard on WordPress. I wasn’t paid for… a plugin maybe?
When I used to pull up my dashboard, it was on the top of the first page it comes to.
Backup WordPress now button… then went on to say that I should back up my site on my computer before proceeding. Thought I did that.
Any idea what kind of file that could have been?
My hosting was through Godaddy.com.

Your backup would have been saved to a .xml file. You can try searching your computer for that kind of file. Usually the default file name includes the date. I hope you’re able to find it!
