My blog does not fit to the scree

    The blog only fills half the screen. My laptop screen is a regular size and surely the blog should fit whichever screen it is viewed on? This is a student blog and the computer screens at uni are even bigger so if it doesn’t fill my screen it won’t fill them. How do I fix this?

    What you’re seeing is how the Twenty Fourteen theme you’re using was designed to work. The theme has a maximum width, and displays the content flush against the left side of the browser rather than being centered on the screen.

    You can make the whitespace on the right less noticeable by setting a custom background for your site. That option is at My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Colors & Backgrounds.

    To change the width of the theme or make it centered instead would require custom CSS, and that can only be used on our Premium Plan or higher.
