My blog has disappeared completely

My blog has disappeared. There is an error establishing database connection when I go to the site. And when I sign in, there is no sign of my blog. It tells me to create a blog. It used to be elgaffney.wordpress.com and that’s gone. I talked to the people hosting it which redirected to elgaffney.com and they said it got hit with a virus that used up lots of serve attention months ago so they disconnected it. Any thoughts how I can find it and fix it within wordpress?

That is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It’s hosted by godaddy.com

We do not provide support at WordPress.COM for any installs of WordPress.ORG software. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs being hosted right here on this multiuser blogging platform.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Thank you timethief. Startuprelations.com who hosts is claiming that it’s something in the blog, which I need to fix. But unfortunately the blog seems to have disappeared when using the wordpress login I’ve always used to post, etc. Here’s what they say…

MySQL database caused an overload of shared resources for the server that it resides on. This overload threatened the health of the server and, in turn, threatened the connectivity of other customers utilizing it. This is, of course, unacceptable. Our database administrators had no choice but to take immediate action to protect our network and to prevent the possibility of a service interruption for other customers. Your database was disabled as a result.

As we are unable to troubleshoot custom scripting, we are unable to provide a specific solution to you. However the following information was provided by our administrators:

You will need to correct the following query:

    Problematic query:
    SELECT COUNT(comment_ID) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_post_ID = 220 AND comment_parent = 0 AND comment_approved = ‘1’ AND comment_date_gmt < ‘2013-03-23 01:24:01’

    EXPLAIN:
id select_type table type possible_keys key key_len ref rows Extra
    1 SIMPLE wp_comments ref comment_approved,comment_post_ID,comment_approved_date_gmt,comment_date_gmt comment_approved_date_gmt 62 const 115 Using where

This query examines 115 rows, which is unacceptable in shared hosting.
